Our team at NX Direct wants to introduce you to an exciting team member, Preston Pritchett. The Senior Account Manager has been with our team since February of 2018. We’re only six months away from his two-year anniversary. That is something to celebrate! This month, we sat down with Pritchett to hear about the road that brought him to NX Direct, and where he will go from here.
Born and raised in Selma, Alabama, Pritchett found NX Direct through an online application — an experience we all can relate to. The decision he made to join the team is remembered by Pritchett as the best of his life. Through all of the valuable experiences Pritchett has brought our team, he managed to learn a few lessons of his own. “This company has helped my career development in so many ways, I could write a book on this,” says Pritchett, “this team has helped me become more professional and punctual. I have become a stronger leader, a better friend, and a more caring person. This career is all about communication and learning how to interact with people, which is the most important skill someone can have.”
Every career has its share of challenges. Those challenges are what makes the work so worthwhile, and they build a stronger and abler professional. “The most challenging thing in my work is the anxiety of management,” says Pritchett, “it can be scary to lead a team, but from my work, I have gained stronger communication skills and greater insight into how to create a successful team.”
Now you know Preston Pritchett, the Senior Account Manager. Let’s talk about Preston Pritchett, the dreamer. Here is a crash course into Preston Pritchett. “The proudest moment in my life was when I surrendered and started getting close to Jesus,” says Pritchett, “my faith is very important to me. If I could learn to do anything in life, it would be to read books faster than I do now; I am a huge reader. If I could tell me thirteen-year-old self anything, it would be to ‘read more books!’ If I won the lottery, I would build homeless shelters, give money to charities, and help my family.”
As for his success, Pritchett holds a humble sense of success. However, his team here at NX Direct knows that his success is anything but modest. Pritchett’s ability to lead comes from beyond his demeanor, it is reflected in his success and work. “Success is seen in your own daily progress,” says Pritchett, “my favorite thing about working in this industry is building myself and building relationships with others. I am inspired by Jesus every day and I am passionate about seeing other people grow. My advice to future leaders is simple: read, read, read. I am motivated to start working every day by the idea of providing an opportunity to other people.”
